5.
Can the holster
wear the finish on my firearm?
Every
holster wears the finish of a firearm. While kydex holsters get a knock for
wearing the finish it is actually less than traditional leather holsters. Leather can trap debris, which will
continuously wear the finish of your firearm. Kydex holsters can wear the
finish but generally do not grow in size due to the kydex not losing its formed
shape.
6.
What are the
Sweat Shield cuts?
The
sweat shield pertains to the part of the holster that extends from the trigger
guard to the top back of the slide. The
sweat shield not only protects the firearm from sweat or oils but aids in the
re-holstering of the firearm.
Full
Shield- Extends from the trigger guard to the back of the slide.
Half
Shield- Extends from the trigger guard to the mid-point of the slide.
No
Shield- Only slightly extends past the trigger guard.
7.
What are the
Business end cuts?
The
business end cut pertains to the muzzle of the firearm.
Fully
Enclosed- The holster completely encloses the firearm and extends past the
muzzle.
Debris
Opening- The holster is cut just past the end of the muzzle which creates an
opening in the holster (some subcompact and/or micro compacts are unable to have the debris opening due to size).
Ninja
Style- The holster is cut in a way that exposes the slide. This offers a
lightweight and smaller holster. This options can not be chosen when a tactical
light is mounted to the firearm (some subcompact and/or microcompacts are unable to have the Ninja Style due to size).
8.
What is the Cant
and which angle should I choose?
O
degree is a straight drop holster but may be harder to conceal the firearm.
10
degree is a slight forward angle that helps conceal the grip of the firearm.
9. What is the difference between the Concealment line, ATAP Training and Tactical line?
First
the end user should think of how they will use the holster and what needs suit their carry situation.
Concealment
Line- Is made from .060 kydex and offers a thin, lightweight but durable
holster that is comfortable while wearing it everyday.
ATAP Training- Is made from .060 kydex as the inner shell and .090 kydex as the outer shell. This setup combines the flexibility of our Concealment Line with the extreme durability and strength of .090 KYDEX.
10. Will the holster fit my weapon with a mounted light/laser?
We
currently offer the Streamlight TLR-1, TLR-2, TLR-3, TLR-4, Surefire X300, X300 Ultra and X400. We can build holsters with other
weapon mounted lights or lasers but we would need them to be shipped to our
shop for the build.
11. Will the holster hold my gun securely without the weapon
light attached?
The gun will fit into the holster however
there will be no retention without the weapon light.
12. Will the holster worked with my sights?
We
have designed our holsters to accommodate most of the largest sights currently
on the market.
