The LUX Extended

The Lux (Latin for Light) is the cousin to our X-FER line. The Lux Extended is a dedicated minimalist appendix IWB holster but still offers full coverage of the Weapon light along with an extended muzzle area to protect from hot comps and threaded barrels. It utilizes the same patented design of the X-FER for locking onto the weapon light. The Lux offers a smooth draw along with the ability to re-holster. The Lux has an integrated wedge and belt ledge. The wedge aids with comfort and concealment. The belt ledge helps rotate the butt of the gun into your body for better concealment.

The comp may still still be exposed depending the on the firearm and weapon light you are running. Example would be an Agency 417 on a Glock G17 with TLR-1 is slightly exposed.

Excellent fit.

I have a Shadow Systems MR920 with a Streamlight and a compensator which fits absolutely perfect and just the right amount of tension. Highly recommend.

Great holster even cover's my g17 with a arc sparc comp

Great holster!!!

Probably one of if not the best IWB holster I've bought in recent years. The ledge at the belt line works as well as any claw I've used, and it's soooo much easier to put on. I really like the metal clip used as well, it doesn't allow the gun to rock one way or the other

Seriously the best holster money can buy!!!!

I have been a proud CCW permit holder for 8 years now. In my career of carry I have been on a quest for the perfect gun and holster option. Over the years I have carried (in order) Glock 30SF, smith and Wesson shield 9mm, Glock 42, Springfield XDS .45, and eventually a Glock 26 when I realized capacity is a major deal. A few years ago I bought a Glock 34 mos with a trijicon RMO 6 for competition and home defense. When the pandemic hit, along with leftist terrorist terrorizing the entire country I decided I would give appendix carry a try and I really wanted the added benefit of a weapons light. After a ton of research Aaron Cowan of sage dynamics made me go for the armadillo concealment extended lux.

I know that gun sales are at an all time high, and governors are turning against the citizens so I had to take that into consideration when it took over a month and a half for my holster to arrive. I tried emailing armadillo concealment two separate times to ask for the ETA on my holster but no such luck for a response. That is my only complaint is that it is impossible to get an answer from them if you have a question. However I am sure they are very busy and up against a lot of BS like all of us are so I harbor no resentments.

Now on to the holster. Holy S#^#*!!!!! This is by far the best holster I have ever used!!! The kydex is seamlessly formed around the gun and light. The channel for the front sight is freaking crazy awesome, I never knew something like that existed. Instead of carving out a chunk of the holster with my extra tall suppressor high night sights, or having the gun occasionally snag which was all too common of an occurrence with every holster and gun I have ever used. The Lux pulls perfectly every time. I am able to get a master shooting grip on the handle due to the way the kydex is formed, which is also something not common with many holsters. The clips are metal and the J hooks ensure the holster is staying on my belt, no matter what! The kydex is slim and is minimal in every area it needs to be. This holster works just as well with my 34 as it does my 19... think about that... this. Holster. Works. Just. As. Well. With. My. 34. As. It. Does. My. 19... That’s insane!!! I never thought it was possible but my 34 is more concealable with an rmr, and a tlr1-HL, and with extra tall night sights, than my Glock 26 with heinei straight 8 ledge sights, no light, and a flush fit magazine in a falcon kingtuck or a we the people AIWB holster. I don’t dress around it either. I am a skinny bitch size 32 waist and I wear shorts and a tshirt for work, where Im not allowed to conceal but do all day. My dad and my girlfriend were both shocked when I showed them what it has been able to do.

Bottomline this is the best holster you will ever use if you plan on carrying a light. Just make sure you are prepared to wait for it to arrive and make sure you dot the T’s and cross the I’s when you order because there is no customer support number and the email didn’t work very well either. You will love this thing and the bad guys won’t know what’s coming. Thank you armadillo concealment.

Honestly Pretty Damn Good, But....

I love how the Armadillo indexes at the weapon light, for me this allows me to have a place to keep my handguns that don’t yet have a holster that is form fitted to the gun itself. For carry it was a little uncomfortable, due to it’s length, however I understand why that length is there and would even say that is required for a compensated handgun. Another downside for me was that, it was only one belt clip instead of two, the holster wanted to shift on me regardless of how tight my belt was, so I would like to see two clips or straps if I was to carry this holster again. I didn’t personally see the wedge system in my package, that definitely would have solved printing issues I experienced, or maybe even the addition of a L bracket to push against my belt. Finally (and this is just nit picky) I don’t care for circular captors for screws, they tend to spin when being loosened or even tightened. I would make the captors a D shape to prevent that, but I also understand those circular captors are the norm on holsters,

In conclusion: As a EDC holster I would give it a 3.5. But as a “place holder” for my newer handguns, I give it a 5 out of 5.
